May 19, 2026: Self-Improvement
I’ve been thinking about this article about self-improvement lately. It’s raw, full of swearing and masculinity, and it reminds me of Mark Manson’s style, which resonated with me when I was a high-schooler looking towards my future. In the right dosage, I think energy like this is good. It provides motivation through clarity and honesty, instead of the typical “you can do anything! yeah, go you!” self-help shtick. It’s brutal, and brutally true.

May 6, 2026: Instruments
I love instruments. I love the rhythm and resonance that comes with the sound of a grand piano or violin, or the bass-y hum and chop of a guitar, or the simple whacking of bucket drumming out on the street. Rhythm itself is beautiful, and even a single isolated instrument can be so deeply soulful and sound textured, yet clean. I’d love to play more (guitar, violin, drums) but I need a better space to practice without feeling self-aware that I’m being that obnoxious roommate.

I’ve set up a blogging page here which will host shorter thoughts and updates from me, not included on the home page. If all goes well, this page /blog/ will be a waterfall of shorter posts organized with the newest at the top. Some things I simply don’t see a reason to make a whole post about, but I want to share, like quotes I found, thought-provoking articles, links, videos or whatever.
